Job summary

PEAKE seeks a Network Engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise networking systems onsite in California, with travel-based assignments and DoD clearance requirements. The role emphasizes hands-on work, collaboration with senior engineers, and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities include design, implementation, and sustainment of network solutions, plus rigorous documentation and customer engagement. DoD clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Aruba networking platforms in enterprise or DoW environments.
• SME in physical infrastructure: cabling, racking, stacking, power configuration.
• Advanced troubleshooting across OSI Model layers.
• Strong written and verbal communication for non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency with MS Office and commonly used network analysis/monitoring tools.
• Experience mentoring or guiding technical teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Guide design, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise network solutions onsite.
• Oversee hands-on installation and setup including rack, cabling, labeling, power-up, testing.
• Lead troubleshooting with routers, switches, and overall network connectivity; document and escalate issues.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project leads to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Serve as a point of contact for customer engagement with clear project status updates and resolutions.
