Job summary

Fortis Life Sciences, LLC in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Manufacturing Lab Associate II (Production Chemist) for a full-time, onsite role. You will help fabricate catalog and semi-custom products and ensure production aligns with NCX quality systems.

The position requires an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or life sciences and at least one year of lab experience; you should be able to lift 20 lbs, work with chemicals, and maintain accurate electronic records.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or the life sciences.
• 1+ year of laboratory experience.
• Advanced laboratory skills and ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to work in both office and laboratory settings with chemicals and compressed gases.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate catalog and semi-custom products with high reproducibility.
• Manufacture products following synthesis SOPs.
• Prioritize synthesis tasks with manager input and communicate production status.
• Document production into electronic notebooks and forms in NCX quality system.
• Discuss and analyze work with team to ensure SOP adherence and quality.
• Schedule routine maintenance and calibration of analytical equipment.
• Promote quality awareness and participate in quality processes.
• Contribute to team goals with clear communication and teamwork.
• Identify inefficiencies to drive process improvement.
• Complete additional tasks as needed.
