Job summary

Nippon Sanso Matheson, Inc. seeks a Laboratory Technician to perform day-to-day analytical duties in our quality-focused facility. You will analyze products for purity, test incoming materials, maintain equipment, and document results with precision.

The role requires a BS in Chemistry or related science or at least two years of analytical experience, strong math and computer skills, and physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work safely in a team.

Qualifications

• BS Chemistry or related science degree preferred or a minimum requirement of 2-years related analytical experience.
• Strong math and computer skills with strong written and verbal skills.
• Able to read and understand elements of a chromatogram and understands LTS requirements for successful completion of analysis work.
• Problem solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot a variety of issues and complete a root cause analysis.
• Strong teamwork and personal commitment to safety and quality.
• Must be able to ascend and descend multiple flights of stairs, lift 50lbs, stand for extended periods, and be physically flexible.
• Must wear PPE including Level A suit, full-face respirator, SCBA, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, Tyvek, hearing protection and gloves.

Responsibilities

• Executes daily work assignments in line with all procedures and safety policies.
• Performs safety equipment inspections and minor maintenance as needed.
• Analyzes products for purity and conformity to specifications.
• Tests and certifies incoming raw materials.
• Performs analysis, LTS, and data entry with high accuracy and speed.
• Performs MCA studies and other analyses as required by supervisor or management.
• Maintains clean and organized work areas and equipment.
• Maintains analytical equipment and tools in safe working order.
• Completes required documentation and records with good documentation practices.
• Interfaces with data systems to complete work.
• Addresses clerical issues to ensure product shipments.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration on equipment.
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment and parts.
• Updates work instructions and procedures.
• Member of emergency response team if required.
