Job summary

Connexion is seeking a Production Chemist I for 100% onsite work in San Diego. The role involves manufacturing bulk clinical and commercial kit reagents, sub-assembly formulation, raw material processing, and QC testing in a fast-paced GMP environment.

The candidate must have a science degree, be able to start at 6:30 AM, stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and wear PPE including an N-95 respirator, with strong attention to SOPs and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or similar).
• Ability to start by 6:30 AM and work onsite.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Comfortable working around chemicals and manufacturing reagents.
• Willing and able to wear required PPE, including an N-95 or half-face respirator.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs precisely.
• Team-oriented attitude and willingness to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture bulk clinical and commercial kit reagents.
• Prepare and process raw materials.
• Perform reagent and component formulations.
• Conduct QC and in-process testing.
• Complete ERP transactions and batch documentation.
• Maintain device history records and training documentation.
• Operate laboratory equipment, autoclaves, and CIP systems.
• Support process improvements and manufacturing transfers.
• Follow GMP, quality, and safety requirements at all times.
