Job summary

ONYX Multifamily Group in Tyler, TX is seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to join the onsite team at The Finley. You will assist the Property Manager in day-to-day operations, oversee resident accounts and leasing activities, and help drive occupancy and collections while delivering high-quality resident service.

The role requires 2+ years of onsite multifamily experience and strong communication skills, with opportunities to lead in the Property Manager’s absence.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of onsite multifamily/apartment property-management or leasing experience.
• Hands-on experience with resident accounts, collections and delinquency management.
• Understanding of leasing cycle from prospect through move-in and renewal.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing requirements and apartment-industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Property Manager in day-to-day operation and performance of the community.
• Manage resident accounts including rent collection, delinquency follow-up, notices, and payment arrangements.
• Maintain accurate resident ledgers, files and documentation.
• Assist with move-ins, renewals, and notices to vacate; support leasing efforts and showings.
• Monitor occupancy and leasing activity; assist with weekly/monthly reporting and administrative duties.
