Job summary

Alcon is seeking an Engineer II – Molding, Manufacturing Science & Technology Engineering in Houston, TX, onsite. The role focuses on developing and evaluating new production materials, equipment, and technologies, with active involvement in validation, quality systems, and process improvements.

The candidate will work within Alcon's Engineering function at the Houston manufacturing facility, collaborating across teams to drive efficiency, compliance, and product quality in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; assoc.+4 yrs)
• Fluent reading/writing in English
• Experience in molding/production environments preferred

Responsibilities

• Support molding engineering and validation activities across new and existing programs.
• Assist in analyzing injection molding parameters and process optimization.
• Support quality systems activities (Kneat, Teamcenter, NCI investigations, CAPA) for cross‑functional alignment.
• Develop and execute validation roadmaps with timely completion of tasks and milestones.
• Contribute to defect troubleshooting and quality control implementations.
• Improve process efficiency and cycle times across molding operations.
• Collaborate with engineers to refine mold designs and manufacturability.
• Document control using Office tools and adhere to regulatory/sQC requirements.
