Job summary

Alcon in Houston, TX is seeking an Associate II, Manufacturing Science & Technology Engineering to develop and evaluate new production materials, equipment, and technologies. You will conduct feasibility tests and collaborate with vendors to drive efficient, compliant manufacturing processes.

This role emphasizes implementing standard manufacturing procedures, evaluating production costs and quality, and interfacing with R&D, commercial, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with strong English communication.
• 1–2 years SAP experience preferred.
• Understanding of BOM/Routing set-up.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex tasks on advanced projects using your expertise.
• Develop and evaluate production materials, equipment, and technologies before mass production.
• Complete manufacturing research to address production cost and quality issues.
• Conduct technical feasibility tests to ensure production efficiency.
• Evaluate project capacity for production process design and development.
• Develop and implement standard manufacturing procedures.
• Engage with vendors and partner functions such as R&D, commercial, and quality.
