Job summary

Technician III, Molding & Tooling Engineering – Responsibilities

• Handle highly complex technical tasks related to mold tooling design and plastic injection molding processes, supporting operations and contributing to efficiency within defined procedures.
• Make significant decisions within the scope of tasks, requiring advanced technical skills and problem‑solving abilities.
• Adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accurate and complete documentation.
• Ensure rigorous quality control and comply with regulatory requirements by documenting in our CMMS (Maximo).
• Commit to continuous improvement and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Bring to Alcon

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate fluently in English.
• 1 year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical device experience or regulated industry experience.
• Molding experience.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced molding environment.
• Preventative maintenance experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot molding machines and/or auxiliary equipment/material distribution systems.
• Experience with robot/automated picking end‑of‑arm tooling.
• Proficiency in electrical, electronics, and schematics.
