Job summary

George Washington’s Mount Vernon is seeking enthusiastic, service‑oriented individuals for the role of Membership Associate. This part‑time position reports to the Membership Manager and serves as a frontline ambassador promoting onsite membership sales and renewals at Ford Orientation Center, exhibition gallery exits, shops, and restaurants.

The role includes providing concierge-level service to members and representing the program at evening events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or related field.
• Prior experience in customer service, sales, or visitor services in a museum, historic site, or nonprofit environment.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote onsite membership sales and renewals at designated locations.
• Engage with guests to encourage membership enrollment.
• Provide concierge-level service to current members.
• Collaborate with other departments to promote membership sales.
• Represent the program during evening events and regional events.
• Maintain knowledge of membership benefits and events.
• Track membership sales activity and feedback for the Manager.
• Set up and organize membership stations and materials.
• Assist with coordinating onsite member experiences.
