Job summary

CardioOne, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to join our growing team. This role manages patient health information, processes record requests, scans and indexes documents, and ensures records are maintained in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

This position is estimated to start in January as the practice will launch in February 2027. The position is onsite at the Eastgate or West Chester practice, supporting providers and staff with locating, retrieving, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems and data entry.
• Experience in a medical office or health information management preferred.
• Ability to work independently with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Process and fulfill medical record requests for patient care.
• Retrieve, review, and reconcile patient records.
• Scan and index records into the EMR system.
• Maintain record retention and HIPAA compliance.
• Support internal audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Handle incoming records via fax, mail, electronic transfer, and portals.
• Assist providers and staff in locating records as needed.
• Perform quality assurance on scanned documents.
• Prepare paper records for scanning and electronic storage.
• Perform other administrative duties as needed.
