Cardiology Practice is seeking an experienced Medical Records Specialist to manage referrals and medical records requests within a busy cardiovascular practice. You will obtain hospital and external records, work with EHR systems, and support staff with data entry while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

The ideal candidate brings transcription experience, proficiency in EClinicalWorks, and familiarity with major EHR platforms and insurance portals to ensure accurate and timely record management.

Qualifications

• Experience with EClinicalWorks and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular terminology and coding practices.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Good communication skills for collaborating with healthcare providers and administrative staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage timely processing of medical records receipt and coordinate with Medical Assistants for multiple providers.
• Enter, update, and retrieve information using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Ensure all medical documentation complies with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
• Prepare and provide necessary documentation for office visits and in-house procedures.
• Support administrative staff with data entry and record management tasks as required.
