Job summary

OccuMedX Group, Inc. seeks an EMT or Paramedic to join our construction occupational health solutions team as an Onsite Medical Partner. You will operate an onsite clinic, respond to emergencies, and support injury prevention and health assessments on active sites.

The role requires certification as EMT/Paramedic with BLS, 3+ years pre-hospital/clinical experience, and OSHA 30 within 30 days. You will collaborate with safety teams to protect workers and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Current State or National Certification or Registration as an EMT or Paramedic.
• Active BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a pre-hospital or clinical environment preferred.
• OSHA 30 Construction certification - Must obtain within first 30 days of employment (Employer Provided).
• Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees and clients at all levels required.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment required.
• Must be able to adapt to changes without compromise and become proficient quickly.
• Must be able to operate effectively in unpredictable situations.
• Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram form.
• Comfortable in a construction environment.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; must be able to regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
• Must be comfortable working at heights.
• This position is considered a critical function withing the company; subject to call back and overtime if required.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Must adhere to all work rules, procedures, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate medical care on construction site.
• Assess and stabilize injured or ill workers; coordinate transport as needed.
• Maintain thorough documentation of medical assessments and interventions.
• Conduct safety walks and implement preventive measures with project team.
• Provide education and training on first aid, CPR, and workplace safety.
• Oversee workplace wellness program, health screenings, and preventative care.
• Monitor employee health concerns, injuries, illnesses, and exposure risks.
• Manage client's onsite drugs of abuse program.
• Ensure medical equipment, supplies, and medications are available and functional.
• Perform regular inventory checks and organize storage of supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of the onsite clinic and office.
• Maintain accurate incident records and prepare reports for regulatory and internal use.
• Build lasting relationships with internal/external partners and integrate with client teams.
