Job summary

Regional West Medical Center is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician or Technologist to support patient care through accurate, timely laboratory testing and quality control across multiple departments.

The role requires performing testing, maintaining instruments, collecting specimens, and ensuring proper documentation while collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure clinicians have reliable results.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Clinical Laboratory Science preferred.
• Certification as MLT or MLS/MT preferred or eligible for certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing across multiple departments with accuracy.
• Monitor quality control and maintain instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot equipment and investigate discrepancies.
• Collect patient specimens and perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Communicate results timely to providers and maintain documentation.
