• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent experience is required.
• License in NY: Clinical Laboratory Technologist or limited permit is required/issued by NYSED.
• National accreditation certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and special analysis of specimens according to established protocol.
• Recognizes abnormal and inconsistent test results and follows via established protocol.
• Maintains competencies in at least two clinical departments and works independently.
• Participates in quality improvement projects and problem resolution.
• Interfaces with clinicians and answers questions related to laboratory tests.
