Job summary

Longview Regional Medical Center is seeking a Medical Lab Technician to perform routine and specialized diagnostic tests on blood, urine and other specimens. The role requires adherence to quality control standards, regulatory guidelines and accurate documentation.

You will operate and maintain laboratory instruments, participate in safety programs, assist with phlebotomy duties, and collaborate with clinicians to provide timely, reliable results that support patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science is required.
• Military Medical Laboratory Procedures course (50 weeks) with relevant specialty is required.
• 0-2 years of acute care laboratory experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high-complexity laboratory tests accurately and efficiently, with timely reporting and proper documentation.
• Adheres to quality control protocols, analyzes data, troubleshoots out-of-range results, and resolves issues promptly.
• Operates and maintains laboratory instruments, performs preventative maintenance, and communicates malfunctions to supervisors.
