Job summary

Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, NE seeks a detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician or Technologist to support patient care through accurate lab testing. You will perform testing across departments, monitor quality control, and document activities to ensure CLIA compliance.

The role requires an MLT degree (or higher) with potential for certification; phlebotomy and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technician or equivalent training required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field preferred.
• Certification as an MLT or Technologist preferred or eligible for certification.
• Must meet CLIA requirements for testing personnel.
• Previous laboratory experience preferred (microbiology a plus).

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing across multiple departments with accuracy.
• Monitor quality control and maintain instrumentation.
• Investigate discrepancies and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Recognize and communicate abnormal results to providers.
• Collect patient specimens and perform phlebotomy.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to safety and CLIA policies.
