Qualifications

• Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred.
• Licenses and Credentials BLS Certification - Various Issuers preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant - Various Issuers preferred.
• Experience Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, document patient information, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow.
• Interact with patients to ensure comfort and address concerns; collaborate with physicians and nursing staff.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare equipment; obtain medical information and record in EHR.
• Explain procedures, medications, and instructions; prepare educational materials.
• Collect blood, tissue, or specimens; log them and prepare for testing; perform phlebotomy if competent.
