Chart Industries, Inc. in Windsor, CT, is seeking an onsite CAD Designer to join the Howden USA Aftermarket division.

You will produce complex layouts and drafting for rotating equipment, interpret drawings, and create 3D models using Autodesk Inventor, ensuring tolerances and joint requirements are met. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or drafting certificate with 5+ years of solid modeling experience, familiarity with Autodesk Vault, welding symbols, GD&T, and standard drafting

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED or Drafting Certificate with equivalent product design work experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ Solid Modeling experience (Autodesk Inventor preferred) and related database software (Autodesk Vault Professional preferred).
• Knowledge of welding process and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing ASME Y14.5.
• Knowledge of drafting standards and Global Engineering Standards.
• Sheet metal design/detailing experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
• Work experience within an engineered product / manufacturing environment preferred.

Aufgaben

• Apply mechanical design expertise to produce complex layouts and detail drawings for production of rotating equipment.
• Interpret customer drawings and specifications and design products within company capabilities.
• Design new components from sketches, specifications, layouts or engineering sheets for production.
• Provide tolerances, finishes, details, parts, calculations and data using company systems.
• Create 3D models using CAD software, ensuring dimensional and joint requirements for robotic welding.
• Prepare manufacturing and procurement bills of materials and specifications lists via ERP.
• Aid other departments in interpreting drawings and resolving questions.
• Perform Design For Manufacturing Assemblies and update legacy designs to current standards.
