Job summary

Chart Industries is seeking a Project Designer to develop and refine mechanical designs for cryogenic equipment. You will create and maintain precise 3D models and assemblies, focusing on piping layouts and manufacturing drawings to meet customer requirements.

The role collaborates with manufacturing and other departments, participating in design reviews and supporting post-release changes as needed. A technical degree and SolidWorks certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of work experience.
• Proficient with three-dimensional mechanical design software; SolidWorks required.
• Experience with SolidWorks piping and routing module is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and manufacturing teams with design reviews and drawings.
• Create and maintain accurate 3D models and assemblies reflecting mechanical design and client requirements.
• Lead piping layouts and design as mechanical focal point in a team environment.
• Coordinate with offsite design resources and manage workload.
• Manage day-to-day ERP activity including BOMs and internal routers.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and other departments throughout projects.
• Support testing, fixtures, and post-release customer changes as needed.
