Job summary

Savvas Learning Company is seeking an onsite Per Diem Educational Consultant (6-12 Math) to support district and school partnerships with core content, intervention and professional development. The role emphasizes coaching, data-driven decision making, and job-embedded services to improve classroom practice.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of 6-12 math teaching experience, strong collaboration skills, and familiarity with Savvas products and standards-based reform.

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. degree required; M.A. preferred.
• Experience offering workshops/coaching to teachers.
• Experience with classroom-based technology integration.
• Experience with differentiated instruction.
• Demonstrated success as a classroom teacher and at least five years of successful experience as a 6-12 professional in the Mathematics content area.
• Strong collaboration and team building skills.
• Knowledge of standards-based reform, curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
• Ability to plan strategically with and coach school leaders and classroom teachers.
• Ability to provide instructional support relating to effective teaching strategies for teachers across content areas using instructional technology.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent ability to present content to large and small groups (effective presentation skills).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement classroom components and resources in the program according to Savvas pedagogy and organization.
• Provide job-embedded coaching and modeling to teachers.
• Observe classroom practices and give feedback to guide implementation progress.
• Use data dashboards to inform instructional decisions and differentiate instruction.
• Provide onsite technical support and regular communication with school and district leaders.
