Job summary

Nestlé Health Science is seeking a Materials Planning Specialist to order materials, balance orders with the production schedule, and work with Vendors, Brand Managers and Procurement. The role is onsite at the Bohemia, New York manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities include monitoring MRP signals, ensuring accurate delivery dates, and mitigating supply risks to maintain a smooth production flow. 4+ years in related fields and SAP experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement or Project Management preferred.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.

Responsibilities

• Order all raw materials and packaging materials to support the detailed production plan.
• Monitor MRP purchase requisitions to ensure accurate dates and quantities.
• Follow up with suppliers to confirm material fulfillment and adjust as needed.
• Manage material shortages and mitigations to prevent disruptions.
• Maintain material master data and confirm lead times and stock levels.
• Manage excess, obsolete and slow-moving inventory with disposition plans.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Supply & Demand Planning, Projects, Warehouse, Transportation, and external Vendors/3PLs.
