Job summary

Nestlé Health Science is seeking a Materials Planning Specialist to order materials for the Bohemia, NY site, coordinating with Planning, Procurement, and Vendors to meet production schedules.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4+ years in production planning or procurement, with strong MS Office and SAP experience. On-site work at the Bohemia plant is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement and/or Project Management in lieu of degree.
• Demonstrated fluency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
• Experience using ERP systems in a CPG company (SAP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Order all raw materials and packaging to support the detailed production plan while managing stock cover targets and working capital.
• Monitor supply signals using MRP purchase requisitions so that delivery dates, lead times and required quantities are correct before creating purchase orders.
• Follow up with suppliers to confirm material fulfillment, track orders and take action if material won't be available when the production plan needs it.
• Manage material shortages and risk mitigation plans to prevent production disruptions.
• Review and maintain material master data with suppliers and Procurement to ensure correct lead times, min/max, safety stocks and lot sizes.
• Manage excess, obsolete and slow-moving inventory with disposition and reduction plans.
• Monitor inventory health and KPIs including DIO, service level, material availability, and write-off risk.
• Partner with internal teams and external Vendors/3PLs to coordinate procurement and planning activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by direct Manager.
