CJ Schwan’s is seeking a Materials Planner for our Brooklyn, NY manufacturing facility. You will plan and procure ingredients and packaging, manage POs and invoices, and partner with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

This role requires SAP experience and strong collaboration with Purchasing, Production, and Engineering teams. The successful candidate will optimize inventory, monitor aging materials, and support cost-effective logistics while aligning with production schedules and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree or 3 years of experience in material planning, purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related function in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems, including experience managing material, vendor, and purchasing data.
• Additional language skills, particularly Mandarin or Cantonese, are a plus.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop solutions.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive service, quality, and cost improvements.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Plan and procure ingredients and packaging materials based on production schedules, forecasts, and business requirements.
• Create and manage purchase orders, process invoices, and collaborate with Accounts Payable for timely supplier payment.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships, resolving service, delivery, and quality issues while securing credits when appropriate.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage aging/obsolete materials in collaboration with Production Scheduling, R&D, Procurement, and suppliers.
• Analyze demand, inventory, and supply trends to adjust order quantities and delivery schedules.
