Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Materials Planner to plan and schedule indirect and MRO materials to support manufacturing operations. The role requires collaboration with suppliers, production, quality, and accounting to maintain inventory, safety stock, and on-time deliveries.

This onsite, contract-to-hire position is based in Princeton, IL, with a 7:00–4:00 or 6:00–3:00 shift and daily morning meetings. You will monitor open requirements, resolve issues with suppliers, and drive continuous

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2+ years of planner, buyer, or supply chain experience.
• Experience in production planning and materials management.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Procure indirect and MRO materials to support production needs.
• Review requisitions for quantities and delivery requirements before placing orders.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and safety stock.
• Monitor supplier performance and delivery schedules to ensure on-time supply.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve delivery, pricing, quality, and material availability issues.
• Support continuous improvement in inventory management and supplier performance.
