Job summary

Ingersoll Rand (West Chester, PA) is seeking a Manager of Materials to lead materials planning, inventory strategy, and end-to-end supply execution in a fast-paced, just-in-time environment. You will oversee a network of material planners, buyers, and production schedulers to ensure demand is met with precision.

The role emphasizes Lean, continuous improvement, and hands-on leadership in month-end close, peak shipping, and urgent customer demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 5+ years in materials management in a manufacturing environment with lean concepts, MRP and supplier relationships.
• 5+ years ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc).
• 3+ years in managerial experience focusing on standardizing planning & execution, reducing sourcing complexity, and talent development.
• 3+ years of cross-functional alignment across operations, supply chain, and production planning teams.

Responsibilities

• Safety: Fosters a safety culture and implements safety policies and training in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Inventory Control: Plans, orders, stores, and manages materials to meet master schedule and service requirements.
• Strategy: Deploys strategic objectives into annual goals and KPIs across the organization.
• Product Lifecycle: Plans material life cycle management and eliminates obsolete inventory items.
• Management: Develops employees through recruitment, training and coaching.
• Problem solving culture: Encourages daily management and data-driven improvement.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
