Job summary

Envita Solutions is seeking a safety-conscious waste handling associate to perform collection, movement, sorting, and processing of wastes in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. You will operate forklifts and material-handling equipment, ensure compliance with EPA, DOT, and OSHA rules, and maintain clean, orderly work areas.

Essential duties include loading/unloading waste, sorting for further processing, and assisting with equipment operation such as balers, shredders, and pumps.

Qualifications

• Preferred High School or Equivalent.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Knowledge of EPA, DOT and OSHA regulations preferred.
• Must be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload solid and liquid waste and recyclables in a manufacturing setting.
• Move materials using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
• Operate equipment such as balers, shredders, grinders, pumps, tanks, and pressure washers safely.
• Sort materials based on established guidelines for further processing.
• Perform cleanup and housekeeping duties and follow EPA, DOT, OSHA regulations.

This position will perform collection, movement, sorting, and processing of all wastes and by products in a fast paced manufacturing facility environment safely and in accordance with Company, Federal, State, and local regulations/rules.

Essential Functions

• Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Load and unload solid and liquid waste & recyclables safely in accordance with Company, Federal, State and local regulations/rules.
• Utilize hand trucks, pallet jacks, fork trucks with attachments and other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks and within the facility.
• Safety operate equipment to process materials including balers, shredders, grinders, extractors, pumps, tanks and pressure washers
• Properly sort materials based on pre-established guidelines for additional processing.
• Perform cleanup and housekeeping duties as directed.
• Utilize knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.

• Preferred High School or Equivalent

Experience Qualifications

• Preferred Prior forklift experience

Skills And Abilities

• This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function.
• Basic knowledge of EPA, DOT and OSHA regulations preferred.
• Ability to understand general industry practices.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirator.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
