Job summary

Diversified Services Network, Inc. in Decatur, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer for an onsite role split between the factory floor and office.

You will drive product quality, lead corrective actions, and strengthen Built-in Quality practices with a small team of engineers. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s or an Associate’s with extensive experience, plus strong knowledge of quality standards, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 2+ years of experience
• Or, Associate's degree with 5+ years of experience
• Strong knowledge of quality standards, manufacturing operations, and engineering processes
• Experience applying 8D or similar structured problem-solving techniques in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent proficiency in Office 365 applications with strong analytical and numerical skills
• Proven ability to lead teams through problem solving and to motivate and influence others to drive compliance and continuous improvement
• Great written and verbal communication skills with a professional approach
• Self-driven, collaborative team player

Responsibilities

• Lead timely Emergency, Interim, and Permanent corrective actions for quality events
• Inspect and contain nonconforming product and drive RCCA with data communication
• Coach and lead End-to-End Built-in Quality initiatives
• Lead quality improvement projects and support continuous improvement
• Manage internal and external customer relationships with Manufacturing teams
• Apply Six Sigma tools and techniques to analyze and resolve quality issues
