Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Two+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in heavy fabrication.
• Proficient with CAD software such as SolidWorks or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail with a process-driven mindset.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• US Citizenship; ability to obtain Secret clearance (SAIC sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequences, and processes for manufacture and fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
• Design sequence of operations and specify procedures for fabrication of tools, equipment, and other functions affecting product performance.
• Support heavy fabrication, welding, mechanical assembly, and electrical assembly operations.
• Adapt machine and equipment design to factory and production conditions.
• Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines.
• Design and recommend efficient plant layout and arrangement of machines and equipment to maximize productivity.
• Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
• Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency and initiate corrective action.
• Develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control.
• Ensure all processes and procedures comply with applicable regulations and standards.
• Maintain records and reporting systems including Manufacturing BOM.
• Contribute to project milestones and program schedules.
