Job summary

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. seeks an Instructional Designer to design, develop, and maintain e-learning for a manufacturing workforce at our Plymouth, MI campus. You’ll translate technical content into practical training that supports safe, efficient operations and consistent performance.

You will own the curriculum, collaborate with subject matter experts, and deliver media-rich digital learning experiences, from concept to LMS publication and updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, learning technology, communications, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience designing and developing e-learning solutions.
• Experience developing training for manufacturing, industrial, technical, operations, frontline environments preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Articulate Storyline 360.
• Experience using multimedia tools: Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, and PowerPoint.
• Strong instructional writing, research, project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain manufacturing e-learning curriculum, ensuring content remains relevant and aligned with operational needs.
• Design and develop interactive e-learning for production employees using instructional design principles.
• Partner with manufacturing subject matter experts to identify learning needs and translate content.
• Create engaging digital learning experiences using interactions, scenarios, assessments, graphics, audio, video, and other media.
• Manage e-learning projects from concept through launch and ongoing updates.
