Job summary

Pitney Bowes Presort Services in Brown Deer, WI is hiring an Onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician Trainee for 2nd shift (Sat–Fri, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM). Base rate is $28.00/hr with a $2.00/hr shift premium.

You will repair mechanical and electronic equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to breakdowns with urgency while using inventory and work order systems. Training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical equipment with at least one year of break/fix mechanical experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to the operation of automated equipment preferred.
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work under deadline pressures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electronic repairs of all equipment including printer and mail sorting equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance according to Mail Preparation Total Quality Management and vendor standards.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns or emergencies with urgency and expeditiousness.
• Utilize inventory, PM schedule and work order systems; maintain spare parts/supply inventory.
• Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.
• Perform all additional duties as required.

You will:

As an Onsite Maintenance Technician Trainee, you have:

• Experience trouble-shooting and repairing complex mechanical equipment with at least one year of break/fix mechanical experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to the operation of automated equipment preferred.
• Excellent problem solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, establish priorities, and work under deadline pressures.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations.
