Job summary

RealManage in Arlington, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure upkeep, safety, and appearance of community properties. You will work with the Maintenance Manager on preventative care, timely repairs, and resident-friendly environments.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, completing work orders, general janitorial duties, groundskeeping, and inspections. Candidates should have 2+ years of onsite multi-family experience and proficiency with carpentry, plumbing, painting,

Qualifications

• 2+ years onsite multi-family experience required.
• Experience with Carpentry, Concrete, Doors, Drywall, Fencing, Plumbing, and Painting required.
• Experience with Cleaning, Locks, and Gutters is highly desired.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Bilingual is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be a proficient problem-solver.
• Must know how to use tools, supplies, materials, chemicals in a manner that does not endanger self, other employees, residents, the environment, or the public in general.
• Experience and skills with simple electric maintenance are a plus, but not necessary.
• Pool maintenance experience is a plus, but not necessary.
• Some overtime and emergency on call will be required

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on community property and equipment.
• Manage and complete work orders through the work order system.
• Conduct general maintenance, janitorial duties, and groundskeeping.
• Carry out regular inspections of grounds, common areas, and buildings.
• Identify and report needed repairs, improvements, and safety concerns to the Maintenance Manager.
• Apply knowledge in carpentry, concrete, doors, drywall, fencing, cleaning, gutters, locks, plumbing, and painting.
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
