Job summary

OPW Global is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Conover, North Carolina facility. The role is onsite with a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:30 PM to 4:00 PM, and overtime as needed to meet production requirements.

The technician will perform preventive maintenance, analyze equipment issues, and implement corrective actions to maximize uptime and product quality. Strong reading of blueprints and ability to work in a fast-paced team are essential.

Qualifications

• Five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledgeable in skilled trades.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plan for corrective action.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment at proper intervals.
• Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maximize production and quality.
• Review production schedule and perform necessary changeovers or PMs to meet customer demands.
• Test equipment for proper operation and safety.
• Examine, test and measure product for quality specifications using gauges and instruments.
• Records data on appropriate forms and reports.
• Repair and adjust small machines and replace bearings, spindles and electrical components as needed.
• Work from drawings, specifications and manufacturer manuals.
