Job summary

OPW is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Conover, North Carolina manufacturing facility. The role is onsite with a base schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:30 pm to 4:00 am, with potential overtime as needed.

You will engage in various maintenance activities and respond to maintenance requests submitted through an automated system. The ideal candidate brings five years of maintenance experience in manufacturing and solid knowledge of skilled trades, reading blueprints, and working with

Qualifications

• Well‑rounded knowledge of practices, tools, equipment, and materials used in manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Effective problem‑solving and communication.
• Able to work in a fast‑paced environment and collaborate with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mechanical and operational problems on equipment and take corrective action.
• Perform preventive maintenance at proper intervals.
• Complete changes overs and PMs to meet customer demands.
• Test equipment for proper operation and safety.
• Review production schedule and perform equipment changes when needed.
• Repair and adjust small machines and replace worn components.
• Work from drawings, schematics, and manufacturer manuals.
• Record data and report findings to supervisor.
