Job summary

Destaco in Madison, Indiana is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee installation, repair and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure, manage maintenance technicians, and drive safety and environmental compliance.

You will supervise maintenance planning, record keeping, spare parts inventory (MRO), coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering and procurement, and ensure logs meet OSHA requirements. A associate degree with supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree required; two years supervisor experience and one year MRO inventory management preferred
• Strong analytical ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
• Spare parts management experience, ideally with CMMS inventory system
• Working knowledge of maintenance repair procedures for MRO components to determine most economical repair or replacement
• Excellent verbal and written communication; interpersonal skills to interact with suppliers, management, employees, and co-workers
• Must be proficient with computer software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases)

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, repair and maintenance activities of facilities and infrastructure machinery
• Assist with safety inspections, audits, and action plans; enforce safety rules and procedures
• Supervise Maintenance Technicians and train new employees on health and safety
• Develop and maintain maintenance schedules and records; ensure OSHA requirements are met
• Coordinate with MRO team on spare parts inventory, reorder points, and parts ordering
• Contact vendors for pricing, availability and delivery timelines; ensure timely material delivery
• Maintain inventory accuracy and conduct cycle counts; support shutdowns, CAPEX, and special projects
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent improvements to equipment and processes
