Institut Rosell-Lallemand Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to provide hands-on daily leadership for maintenance activities at the Milwaukee site.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, schedule, and support maintenance technicians and contractors across plant equipment, utilities, facilities, and infrastructure.
• Plan and coordinate daily maintenance priorities with Production and Engineering, balancing preventive work, repairs, breakdown response, and planned shutdown activities.
• Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with site programs, including lockout/tagout, electrical safety, hot work, confined space, contractor safety, and required permits.
• Drive disciplined use of the computerized maintenance management system, including work requests, work orders, labor hours, parts usage, equipment history, and close‑out documentation.
• Build and execute preventive and predictive maintenance routines based on equipment criticality, manufacturer guidance, failure history, and operating needs.
• Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause problem solving for recurring mechanical, electrical, controls, utility, and facility issues; ensure corrective actions are completed and sustained.
• Coordinate external service providers, define work scope, verify safe work practices, monitor quality and progress, and confirm satisfactory completion.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and controlled maintenance shop, parts storage area, tools, technical files, and critical‑spares inventory using 5S principles.
• Support commissioning, equipment modifications, capital projects, and asset handover by ensuring maintenance documentation, spare parts, training, and preventive maintenance requirements are in place.
• Partner with Quality and Production to complete maintenance work in a manner that protects product safety, quality, and manufacturing continuity.
• Develop technician capability through coaching, job assignments, cross‑training, standard work, and clear performance expectations.
• Monitor maintenance performance and communicate priorities, risks, downtime, backlog, preventive maintenance completion, and resource needs to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager.
• Participate in site continuous improvement activities and identify practical opportunities to improve safety, reliability, cost, and maintainability.
• Support emergency response and participate in an on‑call or after‑hours rotation when required by site needs.

Job description

The Maintenance Supervisor provides hands‑on daily leadership for maintenance activities at the Milwaukee manufacturing site. The role leads maintenance technicians and contractors, coordinates preventive and corrective work, supports safe and reliable plant operations, and strengthens maintenance systems, documentation, planning, and accountability. The supervisor works closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Environmental Health and Safety, and site leadership to reduce downtime, improve equipment reliability, and ensure work is completed safely and to site standards.
