Job summary

Placon Corporation in Plymouth, MN is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime.

You will oversee day-to-day maintenance, implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, monitor KPIs, and partner with operations to drive production performance while promoting safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, engineering, maintenance management, or related discipline; 2+ years of leadership experience; OR 8+ years of maintenance experience with at least 2 years of leadership.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
• Experience in manufacturing maintenance, equipment reliability, and preventive maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Maintenance Technicians and other assigned maintenance personnel.
• Coordinate and direct day-to-day maintenance activities across the Plymouth plant.
• Ensure planned maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Monitor department KPIs, maintenance metrics, and work order performance.
• Drive equipment reliability and machine uptime through preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Partner with operations and cross-functional teams to reduce downtime and improve production performance.
• Develop, implement, and monitor OSHA/ANSI safety procedures and safe work practices.
• Recruit, train, coach, mentor, and evaluate maintenance team members.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failures.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance effectiveness.
• Serve as a technical resource and leader for maintenance staff.
• Manage multiple priorities while supporting operational goals.
