Job summary

Mativ in Pittsfield, MA is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance and reliability activities across the site. You will drive preventive and predictive maintenance, manage budgets, and coordinate with Operations, Engineering, and EHS to maximize asset availability and safety.

Responsibilities include leading maintenance teams, contractor coordination, and implementing asset lifecycle strategies while collaborating with senior leadership to optimize performance and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a technical field is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of maintenance/reliability experience in industrial manufacturing; papermaking or nonwovens experience preferred.
• Proven experience leading maintenance teams and managing internal resources, contractors and vendors.
• Experience managing repair and maintenance budgets, capital projects, and asset improvement initiatives.
• Strong safety leadership with knowledge of OSHA requirements.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge; Six Sigma or Green Belt a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead all maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements.
• Coach, develop, and hold maintenance staff accountable for safety, quality, and results.
• Coordinate rapid response to critical equipment failures and after-hours coverage.
• Establish preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
• Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and backlog across departments.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring failures.
