Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health is seeking a full-time on-site Lymphedema Specialist in Fayetteville, NC. You will assess, treat, and manage patients with lymphedema using evidence-based approaches and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include patient evaluations, treatment planning, progress tracking, documentation in the EHR, patient education, and involvement in quality improvement initiatives to uphold standards and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Clinical expertise in lymphedema management including manual lymph drainage, compression therapy, exercise, and skin care.
• Experience performing comprehensive patient assessments, developing treatment plans and documenting care in an electronic health record.
• Strong patient education and counseling to explain complex clinical information clearly.
• Effective collaboration within interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care across specialties.
• Certification in lymphedema therapy (e.g., CLT) or eligibility to obtain certification within a defined timeframe.
• Licensed healthcare professional in NC or able to obtain licensure before start date.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and infection prevention standards.
• Experience in oncology, rehabilitation, wound care, or vascular care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Track clinical progress and document care in the EHR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehab staff, and other professionals.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on lymphedema prevention and management.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with best practices.
