Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for Calder Woods in Beaumont, TX. This on-site, full-time role involves implementing resident care plans, supervising nursing staff and coordinating with physicians to ensure timely treatments.

The LVN will administer medications, perform routine procedures, monitor vital signs, and document changes in resident status while adhering to Buckner policies and Texas regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold and maintain current Texas nursing licensure.
• Must complete training and certifications required by Buckner and the State of Texas.
• Previous experience in long-term care preferred.
• Minimum one-year related experience.
• Requires proficient ability to speak, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the individual health care plan is followed; administer or supervise treatments prescribed by physicians.
• Maintain compliance with Buckner policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Make meaningful rounds of all residents, and record visits on charts.
• Administer injections; perform in-house testing; record vital signs.
• Maintain health care plans and document acute changes in resident status.
• Supervise aides, assign duties and monitor performance.

Education

Graduate of accredited school of nursing

Texas nursing licensure

Training/certifications as required by Buckner and TX
