Zusammenfassung

Buckner Retirement Services Community: Calder Woods in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to implement nursing goals and coordinate resident care on an on-site basis.

Responsibilities include following care plans, administering treatments, rounds with physicians, injections, vitals, and supervising aides. Texas LVN licensure and at least one year in long-term care are required, with English proficiency and readiness to meet scheduling needs.

Qualifikationen

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold and maintain current Texas nursing licensure.
• Must complete and/or meet training, certification as required by Buckner and the State of Texas.
• Previous experience in long term care preferred.
• Minimum one-year related experience.
• Requires proficient ability to speak, read and write English.
• Work schedules, assignments and units as requested by the facility.
• Requires ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or 20 pounds continuously.
• Requires ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods and perform multiple movements.
• Adhere to the LVN practice standards as established by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners

Aufgaben

• Ensure the individual health care plan is followed; administer or supervise treatments prescribed by physicians.
• Maintain compliance with Buckner policies and federal/state laws and guidelines.
• Make rounds with residents and physicians; record visits accurately on charts.
• Administer IM and subcutaneous injections; perform in-house testing; take and record vital signs.
• Assist in maintaining health care plans and document changes in resident status.
• Supervise aides; monitor performance and assign duties.
