Fermilab in Batavia, IL is seeking a Low Voltage Electrical Engineer to perform basic engineering tasks and advance familiarity with project engineering from design through operation.

You will analyze data, perform calculations, and assist in procurement, manufacturing, installation and testing while growing your skills under supervision. This onsite position emphasizes safety, budgeting, and collaboration with engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET accredited institution.
• Basic professional knowledge of theories, concepts, principles and methodology in engineering.
• Ability to perform basic engineering design solutions and techniques.
• Onsite work from Batavia office.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes data and performs engineering calculations for project parts.
• Develops and documents basic engineering design solutions.
• Provides technical direction to drafters, designers and techs as assigned.
• Participates in procurement, manufacturing, installation and testing.
• Assists in cost estimates and budget monitoring.
• Contributes to safety panels and review committees as needed.
