Job summary

Pero Family Farms in Delray Beach, FL is seeking an Assistant Logistics Account Manager to oversee outside transportation and load planning. You will book loads, manage each shipment to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency, and coordinate with the Director of Logistics to optimize inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods.

Responsibilities include negotiating carrier rates, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance while using DAT and transportation software.

Qualifications

• Truck booking experience (reefer freight is a plus).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Extensive knowledge on DAT load board.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn and understand transportation software systems and technologies.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Manage outside truckload transportation for Pero Family Farms loads.
• Book Trucks off of DAT.
• Negotiating for the best rate and service with carriers.
• Ensure carriers meet or exceed performance requirements including customer service, quality, and compliance.
• Responsible for shipment from booking truck to final delivery.
