Job summary

Pero Family Farms in Delray Beach, FL is seeking an Assistant Logistics Account Manager to oversee outside transportation, book loads, and work with the Director of Logistics to ensure cost-efficient movement of inbound materials and outbound finished goods.

You will coordinate with carriers, monitor performance, and support a fast-paced logistics team in a on-site office with regular hours and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Truck booking experience (reefer freight is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of the DAT load board.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn and understand transportation software systems and technologies.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Manage outside truckload transportation for Pero Family Farms loads.
• Book Trucks off of DAT.
• Negotiate for the best rate and service with carriers.
• Ensure carriers meet or exceed performance requirements including customer service, quality, and compliance.
• Responsible for shipment from booking truck to final delivery.
