Job summary

Pero Family Farms is seeking an Assistant Logistics Account Manager in Delray Beach, FL. This role focuses on booking and managing outside transportation, coordinating loads with the Director of Logistics, and ensuring cost-efficient distribution of inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods.

You will work primarily in an onsite office environment with occasional travel to carrier locations, warehouses, and customer sites.

Qualifications

• Experience booking outside truckload transportation.
• Proficient with DAT load board.
• Strong carrier negotiation and rate management.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Able to learn transportation software systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Manage outside truckload transportation for Pero Family Farms loads.
• Book Trucks off of DAT.
• Negotiating for the best rate and service with carriers.
• Ensure carriers meet or exceed performance requirements including customer service, quality, and compliance.
• Responsible for shipment from booking truck to final delivery.
