Job summary

Intuit is seeking TurboTax Local Service Experts to provide hands-on tax preparation, expert advice, and client support at local TurboTax offices. You will connect customers with bookkeeping, payroll, and planning services while fostering local growth and relationships.

You will work onsite, serving in-person and virtual clients, and contribute to expanding TurboTax’s presence in the community with marketing support. Excellent communication and a customer‑first mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) as required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software. Familiarity with Circular 230
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday, for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Must be willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business including, but not limited to, compliance training, proficiency‑based up‑skilling, cross‑training of other products or offerings, and professional development.
• Must be willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms. Must be willing to use your name, picture for advertising on goggle.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax‑related content and resources for your community in accordance with Intuit’s policies
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing

Responsibilities

• Provide Tax Expertise: Give hands‑on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations and providing future tax planning advice.
• Be a Proactive Community Ambassador: actively build and grow a new local customer base through outreach, grassroots marketing, referrals, and events.
• Champion the Full Intuit Ecosystem: connect clients with Intuit solutions such as bookkeeping, payroll, and financial planning to address needs.
• Build Relationships: develop long‑term trust and repeat business with clients.
• Deliver a Best in Class Customer Experience: ensure professional service and high customer satisfaction in person and via digital tools.
