Job summary

Intuit, Inc. seeks TurboTax - Local Service Experts to provide hands-on tax preparation and expert advice in a local TurboTax office in Illinois. You will guide clients through personal and business tax scenarios, while coordinating with specialists for a full financial picture.

As a community ambassador, you’ll grow local client relationships, host financial education events, and leverage marketing tools to expand TurboTax services and cross-sell Intuit solutions year-round.

Qualifications

• EA, CPA, or attorney with strong tax preparation experience and knowledge of tax laws.
• Active PTIN required to file taxes.
• Minimum 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal/state 1040 returns per season with professional software.
• Willing to upskill into additional service types with training.
• Comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax location, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Mon–Fri, ≥20 hours/week.
• Willing to complete required training and wear company uniforms; active local licenses as needed.
• Interest in building local and online presence; bilingual skills a plus.
• Experience in holistic tax advisory beyond filing.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation for TurboTax clients, handling personal and business income, deductions, and amendments.
• Lead discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize liabilities, maximize refunds, and plan for the future.
• Act as a local community ambassador, grow the customer base, and organize events with marketing support.
• Connect clients with Intuit ecosystem solutions like bookkeeping, payroll, and financial planning for year-round support.
• Deliver a best-in-class customer experience in-person and via video tools, addressing tax inquiries and challenges.
