Job summary

Digital Technology Solutions in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Legal Analyst to support the Legal Department onsite. The role requires handling legal documents, researching, drafting contracts, and coordinating multiple projects with precision.

Candidates should have a paralegal degree or equivalent, 2+ years in a legal setting, and strong MS Word/Excel skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or four (4) year relevant educational degree (such as a Paralegal degree or certificate).
• 2 Years or minimum of 2 years exp in a law firm, government legal dept, corporate legal dept or equivalent setting w/exposure to legal terms and/or procedures
• 2 Years Minimum 2 years experience in the same position/employers
• Demonstrated independent judgment and critical thinking skills
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Willingness and ability to take on a wide variety of tasks and new tasks as requested
• Ability to work with sensitive documents and information w/o divulging information to internal or external parties
• Interested in the mission of IHCDA and taking part in work that furthers that mission
• Demonstrated effective verbal and superior written communication skills
• Demonstrated customer service orientation
• Able to think logically and analytically
• Proactive in anticipating and alerting others to problems with projects or processes

Responsibilities

• Provide legal, communication, organizational, and decision-making support to the Legal Department.
• Assist in preparing responses to foreclosure and other legal actions.
• Track status of foreclosure cases and Sheriff’s sales.
• Prepare contracts, mortgage releases, reports, and internal communications.
• Manage mail sorting and distribution in the legal department.
• Support Legal Counsel with document processing and filing.
• Transact legal correspondence to clients, outside counsel, and court officials.
• Coordinate meetings and maintain project/case files.
• Update Sharepoint contracts database with necessary data.
• Conduct legal and records research and draft contracts and amendments.
• Perform other tasks as needed.
