Job summary

ANA, Inc in Spartanburg, SC is seeking an Industrial Engineering Technician to support process improvement, data collection, time studies, workflow analysis, and 5S setup. You will develop and maintain manufacturing documentation and procedures to improve efficiency and throughput on our onsite production floor.

You will collaborate with production supervisors, operators, quality, and engineering to troubleshoot delays, run Kaizen events, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Engineering Technology or related field.
• Two to five years of experience in manufacturing, production, engineering support, or related technical environment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, time studies, Standard Work, root cause analysis, or continuous improvement.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, layouts, work instructions, and production data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for production data analysis and KPI reporting; CAD tools experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct time studies, work measurement, workflow analysis, and cycle-time observations to identify process improvements and propose labor standards.
• Collect, analyze, and organize production data; prepare KPI reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
• Support engineers and leadership in identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop, revise, and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process maps.
• Monitor production processes and recommend improvements to safety, quality, cost, throughput, and material flow.
• Lead small Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects; track actions and results.
• Create and maintain workstation, equipment, and facility-layout drawings to support material flow and readiness.
• Collaborate with supervisors, operators, quality, and engineering to troubleshoot delays and variability.
• Support pilot builds by documenting issues, collecting data, coordinating corrective actions, and updating docs.
• Assist in developing Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, and Control Plans with observed data and documentation updates.
