Job summary

Ingenics in Fremont seeks a Project Manager / Onsite Lead to support a large-scale manufacturing equipment installation and commissioning project. This 100% onsite, hands-on leadership role oversees ~1,000 machining cells with conveyors and feeders, serving as the key interface between the equipment manufacturer and facility to align teams on progress, priorities, issues, and risks.

This is not a desk-based role; you will be on the production floor chasing blockers, coordinating teams, and

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing equipment installation, commissioning, automation, or industrial project execution.
• Previous experience as Onsite Lead, Installation Lead, Team Lead, Project Manager, or similar role.
• Automotive or high-volume manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite interface between the equipment manufacturer and Tesla during installation and commissioning.
• Oversee installation and commissioning across ~1,000 machining cells and conveyor/feeder systems.
• Manage equipment arrivals at various stages, including testing or on-site commissioning.
• Track milestones against a tight schedule and identify risks/delays.
• Own open issues and drive stakeholders toward resolution.
• Coordinate with installation, electrical, automation, mechanical, and commissioning teams on the floor.
• Provide concise status updates and communicate progress, priorities, risks, and escalations to client management.
• Maintain strong client-manufacturer communication to manage expectations and protect project interests.
• Support hands-on problem-solving to keep activities moving forward.
