Job summary

SWJ Technology seeks a Technical Project Lead to support installation, power-on, startup readiness, and production ramp-up of modular automated production equipment at an automotive facility in Fremont, California. This is a 6–8 week, on-site project with direct customer interface and hands-on leadership.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical installation experience, ability to coordinate contractors and cross-functional teams, and diligent safety and EHS compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or coordinating industrial equipment installations.
• Strong mechanical and electrical installation knowledge.
• Automotive manufacturing or automated production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the mechanical installation of modular production line equipment.
• Coordinate equipment leveling, alignment, mechanical assembly, and machine integration.
• Coordinate electrical installation activities following mechanical completion.
• Support equipment power-on, startup, and production readiness activities.
• Coordinate activities between contractors, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams.
• Interface with customer buyoff and EHS teams.
• Monitor installation progress, schedule adherence, quality, and issue resolution.
• Identify installation risks, delays, and technical issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Track punch-list items through completion and final customer acceptance.
• Prepare daily installation progress reports and weekly project status reports.
• Maintain installation issue and risk logs.
• Coordinate customer communication and buyoff activities.
• Support startup, power-on, production readiness, and production ramp-up through customer handoff.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety and EHS requirements.
